< Back to News Home Night Glow has a Record Turnout of Over 1100 Participants!

Posted (06/18/2010) -

Over 1100 runners plus many youngster s participated in the 2010 Night glow 5K to blow away past year participation.   Thanks to all who took part in this unique event with a Fireworks start!

I would like to give special thanks to Kevin Walsh, race director & Jackson HS cross country coach, for a fabulous job in organizing the event.   In addition, while many races have spectacular volunteers, the Jackson HS Cross Country parents & friends deserve special recognition for raising the bar for other race volunteers by handling the nearly 300 additional participants from 2009 in first class fashion.

Also to be recognized are the 24 Subway Challenge Series elite participants who blew away other competitors by taking 4 of the top 5 overall in Men & 3 of the top 5 overall in women.   They were led by Andrew Carnes in 15:09.91 who won the men’s division and Beth Woodward in 18:41.46 who won the women’s.   Great Job!

Special thanks to Mr. Busta who did a great job on the photos!
